Using the micro bits, I created a welcoming sign and light show because I thought it would be welcoming and nice.
During this process, I learned how to use micro bits and download them to the actual bit.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered because I create and learn to use different features of the computer and micro bits.
A challenge I overcame on this project was not understanding how to work with the micro bits. I was able to do it by reading the Student reference sheet and asking for help.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how I did my micro bit coding. The reason why I would change it is because I felt I could do it better than I did, and explore micro bits a little bit more than I did.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer programing CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in Computer Programing because I learned the process of designing micro bits.
