7P2-CARDBORD CHALANGE

Using cardboard, tape, and glue, I created a truck because I thought a truck was cool. Also we decided a truck would be easier than a car. Also because it was a fun asiment.

During this process, I learned making moving wheels that looked good was hard. Also I learn that I could make the the roof removable. Also I learn that we could add the Mott logo.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer. It  ties to Innovative Designer because I planed and made our cardboard truck.

A challenge I overcame on this project was making the wheels move. I was able to do it by using toilet-paper roles. Another challenge I overcame on this project was keeping the front and the back of the truck together.  I was able to do it by using a lot of duct tape.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the length of the bed. The reason why I would change it is because it feels to short. Also it needs more detail.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing.  My project connects to the Construction Trades CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to the Construction Trades CTE program because I used proficiency with specialized tools and equipment.  

My project connects to careers in design. The reason my project connects to careers in design because I used design to design my project. Also I used it to fix mistakes.
