7P5-3D Design

• Using a computer and a 3D printer, I created a toothbrush holder because I got my own bathroom back. Also my old one was dirty. So when I made this one I made it to where there was no bottom so the dirtyness can get on the counter instead of the bottom of a cup becauae its eaiser to clean the counter.

• During this process, I learned how to deisgn stuff in tinkercad. I also learned how to write what you want with the scribble thing. Another thing I learned is how a 3D printer works.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I designed something myself. I createed the idead of making a toothbrush holder and did all my designs personalized to me.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was learining how to make it from mm to inches. I was able to do it by the teacher telling us how to change it. Even after he told me how to do it I still didnt understand how to do it until i clicked on a button and it showed me how to do it.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the design of my project. The reason why I would change it is because it mioght look better. Also I think changing the deisgn could be fun.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School.  It connects to the

• My project connects to careers in film television because film television uses 3D designs to make props. Another reason is film television also uses 3D designs for extra details. Also because it also connects with 3D designgs by creating backgrounds.
