THANK YOU COPILOT FOR HELPPING ME WRITE THIS
Using ADAFRUIT and Copilot, I designed and coded a dynamic light show as part of an experiment to bring an idea to life. I was exploring different possibilities and wanted to create something unique, and the process turned out to be both fascinating and rewarding.
Throughout this process, I gained valuable experience working with different types of microbits from the first time I started coding. Experimenting with various components allowed me to understand their unique functions and capabilities, helping me develop new coding and hardware integration skills. As I explored different applications, I became more confident in using micro: bits to bring creative ideas to life.
In this class, we focus on seven key standards: Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project connects to the Digital Citizen standard because I prioritized responsible and respectful use of technological resources. By ensuring ethical and mindful engagement with technology, I demonstrated an understanding of digital responsibility and how it contributes to a positive and productive digital environment.
One of the biggest challenges I faced during this project was time management. With multiple tasks to juggle, staying on track required focus and discipline. To overcome this, I made a conscious effort to remind myself of deadlines and priorities, ensuring I remained organized and productive. By staying mindful of my schedule and consistently pushing myself to stay on task, I successfully managed my time and completed the project efficiently.
If I had the opportunity to do this project again, I would put in more effort to improve the final outcome. While I completed the project, I realized that it didn’t quite match the creativity and complexity of some of my classmates’ work. By dedicating more time and focus, I could refine my ideas and push myself to create something truly impressive.
Hastings High School's Career and Technical Education (CTE) program provides students with a wide range of opportunities to explore different fields, including Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project is directly linked to the Computer Programming CTE program, as it involves coding and problem-solving, key skills emphasized in the program. Through this experience, I was able to apply programming concepts in a meaningful way, reinforcing the importance of technology in creative and practical applications.
My project is closely related to careers in Computer Programming because it involves extensive coding and problem-solving. Throughout the process, I worked with programming concepts, logic, and digital tools to bring my ideas to life. This experience not only reinforced my understanding of coding but also demonstrated how programming plays a crucial role in technology-driven careers. By applying these skills, I gained insight into the real-world applications of computer programming and how it connects to various industries.
