3d print p9

Using a 3d printer,I created a superman symbol because I thought it would be fun to make. I made this because, my dad loves superman and I thought he would like it and he did.

During this process, I learned is that it is difficult to get everything lined up to where it won't break. I also learned that I had to make sure that the s in the middle was the right size for the diamond in the middle would not fall out and it would look complete. I had to make sure everything was nice and perfect on the symbol so I would not remake it.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to is innovative designer because i had to make a 3d print that could be made and given to someone else without it looking bad or looking incomplete. I think it also tied to computation Thinker because I had to think about what to make and how it would turn out and look like.

A challenge I overcame on this project was not being able to line things up. I was able to do it by trying over and over again. I also had to make sure that everything was the same size and the same length. I also had to make the s fit in the middle without it showing out of the sides.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change is how it looked.The reason why I would change it is because it was a little on the small side for the sides. Another thing I would change is, the way that the sides stick out the the end of the sides hand a little.

The carrier that this ties to is design. I could 3d print designs and have them made on shirts.
