Daily Log
Day one: I started to think about what to make and also how to make 3d objects.
Day two: I made working gears that you spin the thing on the top around and it moves all of them
day three: I made a phone holder with a face on the back of it.
day four: I finished my phone holder and now I'm ready to turn it in
day five: I worked on my video and got it done but needed editing.
day six: My phone holder was done printing and I took off the support on it and took a video of it
I made some gears that would go around in the circle and the helped me by learning how to group and also learning how to move it up and the angle.
This was my project it took me a while to try and figure out what to build. I chose this because I have always needed a phone holder and it comes in handy when i need to have my phone sitting on something so I can look at my phone and don't have to hold it.
Using Tinker CAD, I created a phone holder because I don't want to hold my phone to watch something like a movie I can rest it on the phone holder .
During this process, I learned how to 3d print items and create them.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to innovative designer because I found a way to hold my phone with a 3d printed item.
A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to use tinkercad.com. I was able to do it by trial and error.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change to better match my phone size. The reason why I would change it is because it would fit my phone perfectly.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Engineering design because of how I took my idea of a phone holder and made it into a 3d printed object.
I made a phone holder with glasses and a face and a mustache. The glasses are for holding the phone so when you put it on it doesn't move around. Also, I made two angles on it so it could hold two phones incase you at your friends house or something. Lastly the scape boards on the bottom of the phone holder for support.
