I created different codes using the Circuit Playground Express because I thought some of them were cool and fun to make. Each project allowed me to experiment with new ideas and features, which made the process enjoyable and rewarding. By exploring various coding concepts, I was able to bring my creative visions to life in a unique and interactive way.
During this process, I learned how to visit websites and create different codes. I discovered various resources and platforms that helped me understand coding better and guided me through the steps of building my projects. This experience not only improved my technical skills but also taught me how to navigate online tools and utilize them effectively to bring my ideas to life.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to the "Knowledge Constructor" standard because I learned how to create codes by researching and exploring various resources. I watched instructional videos and examined sample codes, which helped me build a solid understanding of coding. This process allowed me to gather and apply knowledge effectively, ultimately enhancing my learning experience.
A challenge I overcame in this project was figuring out how to upload the code to the Circuit Playground Express. At first, I wasn’t sure how to transfer the code to the device, but I was able to solve the problem by asking a friend for help. They walked me through the process, and once I understood the steps, I was able to upload the code successfully and move forward with my project.
Given the chance to do this again, I would change my approach by making bigger, harder, and funnier codes. I realized that working on the more challenging ones is actually more fun and engaging. It pushes me to think more creatively and problem-solve in new ways, which makes the process more enjoyable overall.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in robotics because it involves a combination of computer hardware and software designed for a specific function. In robotics, this blend is essential to create machines that perform tasks efficiently. Similarly, in my project, I used coding to create a specific design and function, which mirrors the way robotics professionals develop and program robots to carry out particular jobs.
