Daily Log:
Day 1. Started on my DP page, and looked at ideas for my project
Day 2. I started on my reflection questions
Day 3. I finished up my project and emailed it to Mr.Renner to be printed
Day 4. I made the video with my project
Using Tinkercad, I created a book holder because I'm always uncomfortable with the way I'm holding my book. With this, ill be able to sit in any position.
During this process, I learned that you can't always .make exactly what you want.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I used a design process to create my project, and selected what shapes, colors, and sizes to use.
A challenge I overcame on this project was deciding what to make. I was able to do it by finding something I liked, and that would solve a small issue in my life.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change what I decided to make. The reason why I would change it is that it's really bland, and not very creative. I could've added or detail, or could've done something that would have solved a bigger problem. Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in design.
Here is my 3D project. It's a half oval shape, with a hole in the middle. You use it to hold your book open while you lie down.
Here is it in action.
