Using Micro Bit, I created various things, because I picked those ones out because they were fun, and a bit challenging.
During this process, I learned.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I selected and used digital tools to plan and manage a design process that considers design constraints and calculated risks.
A challenge I overcame on this project was accidentlly deleting my projects. I was able to do it by pushing forward and doing it again.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the projects i did. The reason why I would change it is that some of them were easy, and didn't give me much of a challenge.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Design.
Daily Log
Day 1. I did my 25 things, and set up the micro: bit page
Day 2. I made my name tag
Day 3. Me and meadow made a teleporting duck.
Day 4. I made a jukebox play a song by Bo Burnham
Day 5. I made a dancing and spinning duck, and I made a step counter
Day 6. I finished the paragraphs, and captions on the videos.
This is my first project. It's the micro bit displaying my name. This project wasn't difficult, it was the easiest of the bunch. I didn't run into any problems.
Here's my second project, the teleporting duck. I did this project with Meadow, we ran into some issues but we got it all figured out.
In this part of the project, I made the a jukebox with the microbit, and created my own song, rather then the one they gave me. Destiny helped me with the notes.
This is a step counter, It's not very sensitive but it still works, this one also took a little while to get right, but Mr. Renner helped me a little and it worked in the end.
These two projects, are a spinning duck, and a dancing duck, I didn't run into any problems with this one, it ran smoothly.
