Parents,

Now that we have approached the mid-point of the school year, it is a great time to reflect on the importance of strong attendance during the 2nd semester. Of course, we know that sickness, emergencies, and other parent-excused events may arise, resulting in absences or check-ins/outs.  Please keep in mind that the state deems chronic absenteeism status when students have 18 or more absences in a school year.  We know that students with strong attendance see significant gains in proficiency and social and emotional health. So, let's continue to have high expectations for our students' attendance and work together to make this next semester the best yet!

Last, our students have done a fabulous job showing #TheTigerWay! Hopefully, our students were able to enjoy and make fun memories at our Gaga Ball Tourney and GrinchFest events. We will have more events second semester to celebrate student growth, effort, and character. Thank you for entrusting your child to us. We do not take that calling lightly and commit to love and support them during their time at HIS!

Praying you and your family have a Blessed Christmas with your loved ones and enjoy a Happy New Year!  We will welcome students back on January 6th, 2026.
