History

Inequality refers to the processes in our society that have the effect of limiting some group's status or social class, and the opportunities that certain groups can take advantage of.

Some areas where social inequality is very visible is in the access to voting rights, freedom of assembly, access to education, health care, access to credit, and affordable housing among other things.

The way of doing things can be established through discriminatory legislation, stereotyping and just cultural history.

We just need to watch the news to find out how the BLM protesters were treated, in comparison to the people who stormed the White House on January 6. Case after case, we see how someone in power can take a person of color's life and never gets to pay for the crimes. (Examples to follow: Trevon Martin)
