Term 3

This term we have been investigating the following statement:

“Teamwork and communication are essential to build a cooperative community.”

We have followed different lines of inquiry to help us discover:

• How we can successfully communicate.

• How communities work together.

• The diversity within and between communities.

This term, the children in year 2 have learned about lots of different forms of communication (including talking, online communication, sign language, body language and facial expressions.) They have completed a number of activities (both in school and at home due to the remote learning situation) and we are very proud of them all!

As part of this unit of inquiry, the children wanted to know how to successfully communicate with people in other countries. We asked them to complete a learning journey project about a country of their choice, exploring the communication and language in this country, as well as any other areas that interested them.
