This term we will be investigating the following statement:
“Equality may be achieved by taking risks.”
We will be following different lines of inquiry to help us discover:
How people are treated differently because of the way they look.
How we can prevent inequality.
How inequality in the world has been overcome.
As part of our learning journey 'equality may be achieved by taking risks' we have been learning about South Africa, apartheid and Nelson Mandela.
In our outdoor learning lesson we recreated the African drum patterns that we had learned using a range of outdoor materials.
We had great fun!
As part of our learning journey 'equality may be achieved by taking risks' we have been learning about Judaism, Jewish people and Jewish culture.
We learned about the Jewish celebration of sweetness called Rosh Hashanah which is when Jewish people celebrate the New Year, ask for forgiveness and make resolutions for the year ahead.
