This term, we will be following different lines of inquiry to help us to find out about how “People may use a variety of methods to express and communicate ideas.”
The lines of inquiry we will explore are:
Use of symbols in communication (function)
Different ways to communicate (perspective)
Expression through art (form)
In art we enjoyed looking at the work of Keith Haring and enjoyed creating paper sculptures using bold, bright colours with a thick outline in a cartoon style.
In Design and Technology we designed and created moving monsters using pneumatics. Pneumatics is the use of pressurised air to make things move.
In science we have been learning about light. We investigated which material is the most reflective.
To celebrate the NHS 75th anniversary ,Year 3 collected sponorship for completing 75 minutes of dancing.
In geography, we have been learning about maps and the local area. We completed field work around Hartley then created our own sketch maps.
