In DT this term, the children have enjoyed exploring different joining processes. They will use the skills they have learned to create some moving robots later in the year!
This term the children have enjoyed learning about the history of Hartley. They made comparisons between the human and physical features of the village and were very excited to see old photographs of the school!
This term in maths the children have been learning about how to measure height and length.
As part of our unit of inquiry, the children have explored how movement and settlement can create diverse communities. It was important for them to understand what diversity is and how it can be beneficial.
During science this term we have been learning about animals and habitats. The children created their own animals during outdoor learning and then found suitable habitats for their new creatures!
