Sharing the Planet
Our central idea this term is 'Many living things play an important role in keeping the planet healthy'.
We will be exploring the following lines of inquiry:
Actions have consequences. (Causation)
Working together will help to maintain a healthy planet. (Change)
Our actions can make a difference. (Responsibility)
Provocations
This term our inquiry theme is 'Sharing the Planet'. To get excited about our learning we have looked at some healthy habitats and unhealthy habitats.
Week 1
RE
In RE this term we have continued learning all about Christianity. Today we learned more about the church and decorated our own stain glass windows! They show people we care about and we tried to colour them in as beautifully as we could.
Art
We have learnt all about the primary colours and secondary colours when we made a colour wheel!
Week 2

Some amazing work about Earth we have done this week!
Week 3
Maths
Finding doubles!
PSHE
How can we stretch our learning? We made decorated stretchy hands to remind us to always try our hardest to challenge ourselves and reach for the stars!
DT
We began learning about wheels and axels and explored many items with these features.
Art
This week in art we continued our learning on the primary colours. We created our own paintings inspired by the artist Piet Modrain.
Week 4
Art
This week we learnt about the warm and cool colours and applied this knowledge to our paintings.
Inquiry
This week we have been scientists and have learnt about animals that are nocturnal and diurnal.
Animal Visit
We absolutely loved our experience with different animals today. We learnt so many interesting facts and really amazed the animal expert with our own knowledge!
DT We had an amazing time making our cars this week!
