3/20/19 As we swished through the noisy hallways, I was thinking about what I could write for my forest reflection. The minute I stepped outside a gust of wind hit my skin. We got to the top of the hill and we started for our forest classroom. We crossed over the tiny bridge which you would think would be covered by snow but it isn't. It was colder than normal because it was the morning.When we got to are forest circle we sang are song two times and then my teacher talked about what are day would look like.Then my teacher yield “ go explore” ! Me and my friends meet up at the te-p to play this game called Jade.The characters are Lily.G-Jade Ruby-Grace Lilly.A-nina Chloe-hermine Fiona-ellie.We were pretending to go camping in florida. Chloe was pretending to run from a big snake called the basselis.A little while later,we were pretending to hid from the bassleis and then Lilly A screamed and we all said “what” spider.She said “kill it kill it” so we didn't kill it and we just left.Then I heard a loud noise it was the wisel it was time to go. 3/20/19 It was a Wednesday in the woods and I was sitting by the crackling fire. The smoke was weaving through a maze of logs and then pouring out. Flames wrapped the sticks in orange. The sticks turned black as night and collapsed. -IDE

3/15/19 When we went out into the woods I went over to the river and I found a really weird rock. Then I found out it really was not a rock. It was really a mushroom conk. Then we found a couple mushroom conks on a rotten log. I found a big mushroom conk I couldn't get it. I tried knocking it off the tree trunk with a stick bigger than me. I got a tablet from Mr. P. First I took a picture of that big mushroom conk. Then I videod a friend. She showed us that she was building a dam. The dam was made of rocks, sticks, and mud. It was only 10 inches across. I heard the loud whistle blow. Then we went back up to the blacktop to line up. I got to carry a tablet in. When we got in the class and we got our winter gear off, we started our forest reflection.-JH

3-20-19 Today out in the forest I played at the river with some of my friends and we tried to make a dam. We ended up breaking the older one from last week. Then we made a new one out of bark and sticks, and we stopped to go get sticks. Next it was snack time, I sat next to my friend. After that we went to the forest to find more sticks, we found a really big stick and huddled it over to Mrs. Raney, she said it was pretty big then we took it back and laid it down right next to the glamorous river. Afterward we went to do seesaw and read aloud, we were reading Indian in the Cupboard for fifteen minutes. We went to go explore for twenty more minutes . I like forest friday. -AI

To day at forest friday me and my friend played staffs we battled each other and after that I needed to find a better staff so I roamed through the the woods and I was snapping branches and twigs trying to find a good staff and then I found a skinny tree so I broke it crack). snap) and the I suddenly I had a great staff and then I saw kids on the brook covered in ICE AND SNOW but their was big gap!. And were the water was flowing it looked like the dam because it was blocking the water flow but the ether side a little gap was their and I learned this in class ok any way I was breaking littell pieces off of the ice and then THE ICE CLASPED!! Then I FELL IN! IT WAS SO FUN AND AWESOME! And surprisingly I didn't .- soaked and then I went down the brook to find more ice for me to break so I keep smashing ice with my staff and boot and then I fell in again and then my dad asked to me to get out and sorry I forgot to tell you guys that my dad was there back to the story. So there I got out and then my friend wants to climb trees so we climbed trees together and then my friend decides to be a coo coo head and decides to throw a stick and it hurt really bad I didn't cry then the teacher blew the whistle and that's the end of my story. -MD

Today in the forest I walked over to the club house. Then I found F near the brook and when I got down there F, O and other kids were making a creek. O or D named it Class Creek. We were stirring the slush, then there was to much slush and O yelled “Stop making slush!” We stirred and stirred and then there was a creek under the creek. So the water went down the other creek. Then D put a piece of ice on top of the hole to the other creek. -SZ

Me and my awesome friends had a great Forest Friday! First we went down and sung our song. Then we had exploration time. We played Jade’s camping trip. We made a mini fireplace and pretended to go fishing. I cot a red tale and large mouth bass. Grace cot a salmon and lobster. Jade cot a perch and some shrimp. It sounds delicious. We ate fish and marshmallows again. After, under the teepee, we pretended to be a tent. We slept. The next day we went swimming but then it was time to go in. Awww!-LA

3/8/19-When we were out in the woods me and some other kids went sledding. When we got to the sledding hill everyone tumbled over because we were running in deep snow.Then the teacher came and she was talking about the stuff we need to do to be safe. When she was done she said ‘’ you can go up now’’ and then a scary herd of kids came running up the mountain, but then, they got so tired they were walking so slow. When I got up there I had to wait a little bit because I was not the first one up there. When it was my scary tran I slid and I stopped and l slid and I stopped again and again until I was at the bottom and I felt rilly good when I at the bottom. I had a fun, beautiful, bliss, magical, and adventurous time in the woods!-FC

3/1/19 I was standing on ice on top of the small stream when the ice shattered under me. It was almost spring (29 days) and there were sins of it. The ice sounded of breaking glass. I broke the ice with my breaking stick. It took a lot of work but we broke the first part. It was a beautiful forest friday. -IDE

3/1/19 On Forest Friday we were looking for signs of spring. One thing I noticed is that the ice was easier to break and the snow was stickier. Another sign of Spring was that the stream was much muddier. When I was breaking ice on the brook, another kid jumped on the ice that I was trying to break which was annoying. The ice broke and his boots got all wet. Then another came and jumped on it too. He just jumped in the muddy water and he got wet too! Then I went to play with some classmates. -WG

3/1/19 In the forest i played with my friends . we played cats in the forest . After i played with my friend,s . I sunbathed then i started to break ice . I hit it with a stick . Finally it was time to go in . I had a splendid time outside !.-JT

3/1/19 This forest Friday was not what you call exciting but it was different from all the times I went out to forest Fridays. I could smell the damp smell floating thru the air and I could hear the peaceful sound from the cold water rushing by. I could see the children sitting by the fire warming there hand up after playing. I felt the comforting feeling of my warm gloves. I tasted the cold snow melt upon my tongue. In my heart I felt a deep feeling that I finally found a place where I belonged. One sign of spring is that mud was scarred all over the forest. -CG

3/1/19 Today at Forest Friday I was feeling happy because I got to have fun and play. For example I was finding sticks and testing them. What I mean by testing, is trying to see how strong they are when I hit them on a dead branch or tree. Then I went over to say a quick hi to my friend and just check out a bit of the area where they were playing the game, Jade. Then I went back to the area where other friends were in. I layed with them a bit more. I noticed some signs of spring. The snow was starting to melt. The snow was evaporating or turning into water. The snow felt softer than before. It was more packable then I rememeber. I noticed by the river that there was a gap between where the water flowed and where the ice was. In conclusion,Its fun in Forest Friday because I get to play and hang out with my Friends,also we get to explore new things too sometimes. Like new sticks and other new things that I like.-TL

3/8/19 i was at the big sledding hill. i could hear the snow cracking before me. the magical air hit my 3 layers of clothes. I am super happy to go outside. with my friends of course. At first i was scared to slide down. But after seeing someone. else go down i was not really scared anymore. So i thought why not go down . i got hurt at the end but i was happy. I was super happy to go outside. i hope i can go out next week. I could not believe how hard it was to climb up the hill. I was really enjoying being outside. i wish we could have more time to be in the woods. I could also feel the bliss of being outside with my friends. Then the whistle blows everyone runs for the metal dome then when the teacher can see us we run down to the blacktop.-DH
