Service Hour Guide

NJHS is an organization dedicated to fostering high standards of scholarship and leadership through service to the school and community. The Rio Norte JHS Chapter provides for these goals through active member service throughout our community and school. To do this, our students are tasked to complete at least 10 hours of community service, in order to show their dedication to the community. 

In order to stay in NJHS next year, it is mandatory for all students who are in this group to complete their 10 hours of community service.

Services must be for a non-profit organization. (others cannot make money from

your time). You cannot be paid for your hours, and you can not use these hours for any other required class hours like for ASB, Girl Scouts, Team, extracurricular activities, etc. To summit your 10 hours of community service hours to Mrs. James (Science), there is a form in google classroom that has the following details:

-Name of Organization

-The amount of hours you spent

-And authorized signature

-And a phone number
