Mrs. Day

About Me

Hi, I’m Mrs. Day, and I am so excited for this school year! I have taught for 21 years; 3 years in San Jose (CA), 6 years at La Mesa Junior High, 4 years at Golden Valley High School, 7 years at Arroyo Seco Junior High, and now I'm going into my second year at Rio Norte! I teach both Accelerated Math 7 (AM7) and Math 7 for team Tambo. My teaching experience includes everything from pre-algebra to Algebra 2. I've also taught several intervention classes (Strategic Math, Goals 9, Power Math, and Algebra Prep). Experience with all kinds of classes and students has helped me to be a well-rounded teacher. I have acquired lots of strategies and understanding to help students be successful in class. When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me spending time with my husband, three kids, and a havapoo dog named Summer. I love sports, the Denver Broncos, coffee, family vacations, hiking, books about teaching, and focusing on the positive things in life. Email me anytime with questions or concerns, I am here to help.
