Gravity 2

What happens to an object’s total energy as it changes position; how does the amount of energy stored in the object change?

Essential Question: How does the position of an object affect its amount of energy?

An object with a greater distance from the Earth will contain greater gravitational potential energy than one with less distance. This potential energy will transfer to kinetic energy as soon as the object is dropped.
