Retests

Test retakes are available to students scoring less than 70%.

The highest grade you can earn on a retake is 70%.

If you raise your grade on the test, then it will raise your grade in the class!

1. Get your unit work from the cabinet.

    • Open the bottom cabinet, and look for your classwork that is for the test that you are going to retake. Your work will be in one of the cabinets labeled Student Work.

2. Review

    • Before you can take the retest, you will need to do some review. To show me how you reviewed, you will turn in two pages of notes. They must be written in your own writing. If you write with very large letters, you will need to turn in 3-4 pages.
    • What will you write? Try the following:
      • Look through each page of your unit work (the stapled packet) and think about what you needed to learn on each page. Write down questions that you think I might ask and then answer the questions. If there are drawings, graphs or other visual aids, draw them in your notes and explain what they mean. Be sure to focus on every page in the packet. Everything you need to know is in your unit work.
      • You can also watch the videos posted on my website, and take notes on them. You can play Quizizz and Quizlet as well, but these resources will not cover ALL the content.
      • If there is something that you don't understand, you need to come and see me for help BEFORE the retest day.

3. Come to take the test on the retest day.

      • I will announce the retest day on my Agenda. Check the agenda page on this website. Test Retakes generally have a time limit of one week.
      • If you can't come on the day of the retest, then you need to talk to me ahead of time about why you can't come. This is the only way you can schedule your retest for another day.
      • If you don't come, you won't have another opportunity.
      • If you happen to be absent that day, talk to me immediately upon your return.
