Meet Information and Rules

Entries

  • 4 age groups: 9 years old, 10 years old, 11 years old and 12 years old.
  • Age of swimmer is determined by the age of swimmer on date of specific meet.
  • Each team can enter 3 swimmers per event per age group.
  • Each swimmer can compete in a MAXIMUM 3 individual events and 2 relay events ONLY.
  • No "NT" entries will be accepted. Entries time should have been completed in the 3 months prior to the event, or coaches should edit the time based on the swimmers training level.
  • Swimmers must take part in their own age group (No swim ups), with the exception of filling a relay team. Swimmer can however, only swim in one age group for the relays.

Rules

  • Meet will be run under FINA rules including one start rule.

Awards

  • Medals 1st – 3rd for all events by age group and gender.
  • Medals will be collected directly by swimmers at the end of each session.

BISAC Trophies for:

  • Junior Team Overall Champion.
  • Team age group winners boys and girls.
  • Presentations will take place at the end of the day.

Sponsored prize for:

  • Top PB each group winner boys and girls.

Scoring

  • All events are timed finals.
  • There is no limit to the number of swimmers who can score per team in this meet.

Scratches

  • All scratches must be made by a nominated team official at the Coaches Meeting at 7.45am.

Protests

  • Head Coach should be notified of any disqualifications not later than the time the event results are posted (paper copy). A form filled out by the official making the disqualification should be handed to the Head Coach.
  • All protests must be made by the Head Coach or designated team coach to the Meet Manager within 30 minutes of posting the paper copy of results. The host team will provide the protest forms.
  • When paper results are posted, the time of posting must be clearly written on the results sheet for each event.
  • Parents may not be present during the protest discussion.
  • As per FINA rules, the referee is the final arbiter of any protests. No video evidence will be presented to the officials.
  • Abuse of meet officials will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the meet of parents, swimmers or coaches.
