Leading those blocks for my brothers!
Football taught me resilience and how to keep going when things got hard. Stepping away after two concussions wasn’t easy, but it showed me that strength also means knowing when to stop.
Lacrosse taught me toughness in a different way. Staying sharp, trusting teammates, and responding quickly under pressure. It showed me that resilience isn’t just physical, but mental and collective. Always remembering that ground balls win games. Unfortunately a sport I had to drop due to my concussions.
Track taught me that strength alone isn’t enough. As a thrower, I learned that technique, patience, and mindset are just as important as power.
I was named Track Rookie of the Year in my first season, entering a sport that was completely new to me. I wasn’t the strongest or most experienced thrower, but I showed up every day, pushed myself, and focused on my team. I encouraged my teammates, gave pep talks, and hyped them up before every throw. This award wouldn’t have been possible without Coach Pellet, whose positivity, work ethic, and wisdom helped me grow and thrive in his program.
