A very big part of being a musician for me is songwriting. I've always loved poetry and saw the beauty in words of every song I've listened to.
In Sunburn, I use a sunburn as a metaphor for destructive obsession. Lines like “I stay outside way too long, I let my skin boil up” show this, while the repeated “Always my sunburn” reflects the lingering pain and consequences.
I'll be waiting is an ode to my friends who graduated in the class of 2025. The song is meant to represent how they've been there for me and how I'll always cherish the lessons they've instilled in me.
Here I am with some of my best friends for life!
Class of 2025!
I wrote the song for them as soon as I got home from saying bye to everyone. Leaving my emotions uncut and raw.
