All of this is a lot to handle, and I know it can be tough. Your mental health is very important. If you are ever struggling and need to speak to me, let your teacher know that you need to see me and that it's personal, and I will see you as soon as possible. I will always make time to see you when there is a mental health emergency!

Do you ever suffer from anxiety? You are not alone. Teens with anxiety is a very common issue. The apps pictured on this page are good ones to download and use when you are feeling anxious. This article also has some useful tips.

Another helpful strategy to manage an anxiety attack is to use the five senses to get "grounded". Focus on the five senses: sight, touch, hearing, taste, and smell and then do this:

  • search for five things you can see

  • search for four things you can touch

  • search for three things you can hear

  • search for two things you can smell

  • search for one thing you can taste
