STAAR Testing

General Information:

Students take the STAAR test in grades 6th through 11th grade. In high school, these tests are referred to as End of Course assessments or EOC. High school graduation requires a satisfactory score on all EOC tests: English I, English II, Algebra I, Biology, and US History.

STAAR is taken every spring at the end of March and beginning of May. Retakes are scheduled for mid July and December for students that did not achieve a satisfactory score or missed the exam.

STAAR Tests

• Grade 6- reading and mathematics
• Grade 7- reading, writing, and mathematics
• Grade 8- reading, mathematics, science, and social studies
• End-of-course (EOC) assessments for English I, English II, Algebra I, Biology and U.S history.

Practice STAAR Exam

The school will give full-length practice STAAR exams during the week of February 21st-28th.
