Every child learns differently—and at Rock Cut, we’re committed to meeting every student where they are. Our school uses a framework called MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) to ensure all students get the academic and behavioral support they need to thrive.
MTSS is a tiered system used to provide the right level of support to every student based on their needs.
Tier 1: High-quality instruction for all students.
Examples: Whole-group lessons, classroom routines, schoolwide expectations.
Tier 2: Small group interventions for students who need extra help or challenge.
Examples: Reading groups, math interventions, enrichment activities.
Tier 3: Intensive, individualized support for students with significant needs.
Examples: 1-on-1 instruction, behavior plans, special education services.
We use data to guide our decisions:
Universal screeners help identify students needing support.
Progress monitoring ensures interventions are working.
Teachers and staff collaborate to adjust support based on student growth.
Families are essential partners in this process. We’ll keep you informed and involved every step of the way.
