The Rise of Rome

3000 years ago, the latins lived on the hilltops above ther Tiber river. These small villages grew to a city and grew to a country which went across Africa, Asia, Europe, and also ruled some Mediterranean islands. Romulus and Remus were the founders of Rome, they were twin brothers. They were told as twin sons of Mars, the god of war, and son of Rhea Silvia, the daughter of Numitor, king of Alba Longa in the history. They ruled the Rome city together at first, but Romulus killed his brother Remus. He named the city by himself, and had ruled Rome as the first emperor.
