College math policies and grading scales are determined by Southwest Minnesota State University and can be found on the course syllabus handed out the first day of class.
7th and 8th Grade Policies:
Homework will be assigned almost daily, with time given in class to work on the assignments after the lesson.
All homework assignments will be due the day after assigned, unless otherwise noted.
Late Assignments:
Excused (excused absence, approved special circumstance): you have two days from the time you return to school to complete and turn in the assignment. After two days, the assignment is treated as unexcused late work.
Unexcused (forgot, didn't complete, etc): You will lose 1 point (10%) off of the original score (so an 8 if turned in on time becomes a 7). No credit will be awarded for assignments turned in after the chapter test.
Grades will be based on the following:
40% Assessments (quizzes, tests, projects, etc)
60% Practice (daily activities, homework, etc)
Letter grades follow district-determined ranges:
A 96+
A- 94-95
