About Me

Hello!  My name is Kalee Nuest, and I've been teaching at Hancock Public School since the 2014-15 school year.  I also coach Knowledge Bowl and Track.

I love running, reading, camping, DIY projects, Disney, and math (of course!), but most of all, I really love working with students.

I earned my BA in Mathematics and my Secondary Ed Teaching Certificate from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2006 and my Masters in Education from the University of Minnesota, Duluth in 2014.  I have also completed 18 graduate level math credits through Minnesota State University, Moorhead, so I can teach college-level math here at Hancock.

In my classroom, I will...

...create a learning environment in which students feel driven, motivated,

and supported.

...encourage confidence in individual math abilities and progression.

...challenge my students to see math in the world around them.

...make sure my students know they matter.
