Spanish I

Spanish I is a fun, interactive course which provides students with a general introduction to the Spanish language: sound system, pronunciation, basic grammatical structures, functional vocabulary related to everyday life, and the culture/history of Spain, Hispanic North America, and Central America. Emphasis will be on the acquisition of four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. There are two main objectives to the course. The first is to give the students the ability to carry on a simple conversation in Spanish. The second is to introduce Hispanic culture through Latin American art, literature, customs, food, and history.

***This course is for beginners with no previous knowledge of the Spanish language. It has a proficiency level of: Low Novice
