Arrival
Student drop off begins no earlier than 7:00am. Students should not be dropped off prior to 7:00am as no supervision will be provided by the school.
Students arriving between 7:00-7:10am should be dropped off using the straightaway (see map). The bus loop will be for buses ONLY during this time.
Once all buses have arrived, the bus loop will be open for drop off.
We encourage parents to arrive at Langley prior to 7:25 as school begins promptly at 7:30. This allows students time to walk into the building and report to class in time to start their instructional day. After 7:25, staff members are not present to assist as they need to report to their classrooms to prepare for the instructional day. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) should refrain from parking in the bus lane to walk their students into the building. When pulling into the loop, please pull all the way forward. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) are asked to park in a parking space if they need to walk students in. Cars may continue to pull in the bus loop for their student(s) to unload if they do not require assistance. We encourage all of our families to arrive in the parking lot no later than 7:25 am to ensure a smooth start to the day!
Dismissal
Car Pick Up Line - In an effort to help make our car pick up line more efficient please adhere to the following:
All cars picking up students must enter using Rockwell Rd and take the first right into the park. Turn right onto Gibson Avenue and into the straightaway.
Have your car tag visible for staff.
Pull all the way forward when waiting for your child(ren). We are using colored cones to help our students know where to go.
If you need to assist your child with their seat belt or car seat, please pull forward into the bus loop so that the rest of the line can continue moving forward.
At 2:25pm, students who have not been picked up will be moved to the front office. Parents/Guardians will need to sign them out with Mrs. Slater.
Walkers-
Walkers will not be released out of the walker line. Parents should meet their student at the corner of Little Back River Rd. and Gibson Ave. or on Rockwell Rd.
Parents of students in PreKindergarten and Kindergarten need to meet their students on the side of Little Back River Rd. closest to Langley Elementary. Please have your students pick up card in view.
Dismissal Changes
*ALL dismissal changes MUST be made in writing.
*Dismissal changes will NOT be taken after 1:00pm.
