Hello! My name is Tanisha Ferguson, and I’m so excited to be starting my third year at Bassette and to continue being part of the Hampton City Schools community!

A little about me! I earned my bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Old Dominion University (Go Monarchs!) and my master’s degree in Human Services with a specialization in Nonprofit Organization from the University of Arizona Global Campus.

Before joining Hampton, I served as a Family Services Specialist for Williamsburg-James City Head Start and, prior to that, I spent 22 years supporting a variety of programs within York County Public Schools.

As your Family Engagement Specialist for the 2025–2026 school year, my mission is to connect with our neighborhood, community sponsors, and families. I’m dedicated to supporting students, parents, and staff while creating engaging, educational experiences that inspire learning and help every child succeed.
