Give yourself and your classmates a hand. Your digital literacy skills have taken a big leap forward with the creation of a functional website.
This week you are using Google Slides to prepare a mini-lesson to teach your new non-magical students about your Nissaba course. Have fun finding and editing the perfect images to increase the effectiveness of your lesson visuals. Then advance those digital literacy skills even further by challenging yourself to add slide animations and/or an audio track in a Google Slides presentation. Make sure to stay on the right side of the muggle law with regards to the use of copyrighted material in an educational setting.
Remember the maxim, reduce, reuse, recycle? It applies in the digital world as well when resources are scarce, such as time and money. Through practice you'll learn how to reduce your workload by identifying images that are easier to work with right from the start, selecting images with maximum reuse in mind, and remixing to create new images by combining images already created before creating something from scratch.
