About Ms. Boettcher
1st Grade
1st Grade
Dear 1st Grade Families,
My name is Brooke Boettcher, and I will be your child’s first grade teacher this year. I am so excited to begin the school year and to work with you and your child. This will be my twelfth year at Marcy Elementary, and I am honored to be part of such a wonderful school!
My fiancé and I live in Brookfield with our 2 1/2 year old son, Austin. He is the light of my life! He loves to giggle, read, dance, sing songs, jump, go for boat rides, and enjoys making people laugh. He loves sports of all kinds, dogs and babies (neither of which we have! Ha!) and he can't walk past one without saying hi. He is such a goof and makes me laugh every day. I've included lots of pictures below!
I was born and raised in Green Bay and I am the oldest of three. I have two younger brothers, 4 nieces and 2 nephews. I still go back to Green Bay quite often to spend time with my parents and family that live there. My parents also have a lake house in Pound (about 40 minutes north of Green Bay) and we enjoy spending a lot of time up there in the summer relaxing.
After high school, I attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where I graduated with a degree in Early Childhood, fulfilling my life time dream of becoming a teacher. It’s hard to believe, but this will be my 21st year of teaching. Prior to working at Marcy, I worked as a three year-old Kindergarten teacher in MPS for 4 years. I then moved back to Green Bay where I taught Kindergarten for 3 years and then jumped up to 2nd grade for a year, and then a 2nd/3rd grade combination. This will be my twelfth year teaching 1st grade.
I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child throughout the upcoming year, which surely promises to bring with it, many new experiences. In order to make the year a successful one, teamwork and cooperation will be required by all. As your son or daughter’s teacher, it is my goal to help him/her become a confident learner and I will do my best to help make this year a positive experience for your child. It is my belief that positive interaction between teacher and parents strengthens the feeling of support all children need for success in school. I encourage you to feel comfortable asking questions or sharing concerns throughout the year.
My preferred method, and easiest way for you to get a hold of me during the day, is through Seesaw. You may also feel free contact me at boetbr@hamilton.k12.wi.us as this email is checked on a daily basis. Although both of these are checked daily, if you have an urgent matter during the school day, please contact the office, as I can't guarantee I will see your message on time.
I look forward to beginning the school year and to work with your family. I know we will work together to have a successful and fun year!
Sincerely,
Brooke Boettcher
AUSTIN!!
