Wisconsin's Youth Apprenticeship (YA) program is a structured, paid work-based learning experience for high school students, pairing classroom instruction with on-the-job training. Students work in a chosen career field while still in high school, earning wages and gaining valuable skills and experience. The program is coordinated locally by regional consortia and overseen by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.
