Algebra 1 EOC

Algebra 1 EOC score

Students must score Proficient or Advanced on the Missouri Algebra 1 EOC or obtain an equivalent score as established each year by the Missouri Department of Higher Education. At Penney High School students take the Algebra 1 EOC in one of three situations: if they take Algebra as an 8th grader they take the test at the end of their first semester freshman year. If they take Algebra 1 their freshman year, they take the EOC at the end of successfully completing that class, or if they take Algebra 1A and Algebra 1B, they take the EOC after successfully completing Algebra 1 B. If they do not score proficient or advanced at this time, they may re-take the Algebra EOC after some tutoring and review or they may take the ACT and earn an appropriate Math subscore. This requirement may be met after graduation.

Class of 2018 Equivalent ACT scores

  • 17 or higher on the ACT Math test with a 2.5 GPA
  • 16 on the ACT Math test with a 2.8 GPA
  • 15 on the ACT Math test with a 3.0 GPA

These scores are re-evaluated for each graduating class so may change in the future.
