Let's Communicate for Success!

Parents

Parent/Guardian communication is important to me! I think it is an important part of every teacher's strategy for success in today's classrooms. I hope you will partner with me to make this a successful year for your child and I thank you for your support from home. 

I look forward to answering your questions or hearing concerns, please feel free to contact me at mclark@hamburgschool.com, or call me at 973-827-7570 (Ext. 464). Emails are the best way to contact me during the school day as I am with students all day except Period 5 (Lunch) 11:09-11:50 and during my Prep period 9 (2:01-2:42) - please see the schedule posted in the 'About > Schedule' section. On the rare days that I am not available (sick, etc), please contact the main office or your child's Case Manager only.  This year, I will also be using ClassDojo as requested by a parent. I will try to share fun moments from the classroom and keep you up-to-date with info and events that are also listed on your Communication Binder page.

While most phone calls and emails are returned pretty quickly between the hours of 6:00 am and 7:00 pm, occasionally I have previous commitments and may not be able to do until the next work day.  Please understand that, although I do not share my personal cell phone, there are multiple alternative options provided including a google voice number that rings on my cell phone.

Students

Academic Support / Office Hours - If you need help, you have a few options.  I am available for extra help nearly every morning (by appointment, as I am scheduled for 'Before Care Supervision' 1-2 times each week), 7-7:50 am. I am also available to provide extra help after school on most days beginning at 3:00 pm until 3:55 pm. Please send me a quick email ahead of time to let me know that you will be attending an extra help session. I am always happy to help!

* You may always email me with a quick, easy to answer question. If you have a more complex question, you may email me to set up a virtual Google Meet.
