Chorus families, we had a great first week and are looking forward to a fantastic year with our largest War Eagle Chorus yet! Since we have so many new students joining us, I wanted to be sure that everyone has the info they need to start the year off well. This newsletter contains important information for you as we begin using our CutTime system for communication and digital permission forms. We are also looking forward to a few upcoming field trips! We know how busy the beginning of the year is, so you can find the "Cliff Notes" version of what's happening at the top of this message, and then more info below as you have time to read it.

Thursday, Aug 14: CutTime System implemented: Magic Links sent to each chorus family
Tuesday, Aug 19: Universal Studios Spring Trip Info Zoom @ 7:00pm (this is a date change from the original scheduled date of Aug 12...)
Thursday, Sept 4: National Anthem performance @ Gwinnett Stripers Game (optional event: $35 or 40 per student)
Monday, Sept 15: Uniform Ordering Deadline
This week we will begin using the CutTime program. By Thursday you should receive a mobile "magic link" to your student's profile, where you can access timely announcements, upcoming events, financial information, volunteer opportunities and more. No password or login name is required with this unique link. It’s a good idea to bookmark your magic link with Save to Home Screen. For most cases, the magic link will be sent to the mobile phone of the primary contact listed in Infinite Campus. Thursday, Sept 4: Gwinnett Stripers National Anthem performance!
We are looking forward to our National Anthem performance on Thursday, September 4th at the Gwinnett Stripers baseball game! We'd love for lots of our chorus friends and family to join us as well, sporting our new chorus shirt! Save the date! More info coming soon.
Chorus Dues: We are requesting that each family donate $20 in chorus dues for the year. Although these dues are not required, it takes a lot to keep our chorus running over the course of the year, and these dues will help cover the cost of materials provided for all chorus students throughout the school year - music, paper, etc. (Checks can be made out to CHS Chorus Booster and cash works too). Thank you in advance for your support!
A note about chorus uniforms:
Sopranos & Altos will wear our chorus dress or something comparable (if they have a floor-length dress or all black dress shirt and floor-length pants that still fit from last year, they can wear that again).
Tenors & Basses will need a tux.
Uniform sizing will happen during class near the end of August or the beginning of September.
Performance attire should be ordered by September 15th.
