Northwest Vikings Baseball

Coach Richardson leads the Northwest Collegiate Baseball Team, fostering a program built on dedication, teamwork, and a relentless work ethic. Coach Richardson emphasizes player development, fundamentals, and character both on and off the field. Each athlete is encouraged to compete with integrity, learn from every game, and represent the program with pride.

Under Coach Richardson’s leadership, players are taught the value of preparation and persistence; skills that extend far beyond the diamond. The team closed out the 2024–2025 season with a record of 6-6, showing consistent growth and a commitment to improving with every inning. With several returning players and promising new talent, the future looks bright for Vikings baseball. Field has been named after Legendary Coach Chambliss March 2025.

Coach Macon leads the Lady Vikings Softball Team, where the focus is on teamwork, confidence, and resilience. Coach Macon believes in developing well-rounded student-athletes who compete with heart and represent their school with pride.

The Lady Vikings concluded the 2024–2025 season with a record of 6-3, highlighted by improved defensive play and strong leadership from returning upperclassmen. Under Coach Macon’s guidance, the program continues to emphasize sportsmanship, skill development, and a positive team culture both on the field and in the classroom.

The Vikings Track & Field Team, led by Coach Jeffery Mills, continues to build a tradition of excellence grounded in effort, focus, and perseverance. Coach Mills promotes a culture where athletes are challenged to set personal goals, compete with purpose, and celebrate both individual and team accomplishments.

During the 2024–2025 season, the Vikings achieved several standout performances, with athletes placing in multiple events at the Roanoke River Athletic Conference (RRAC) Championships. The program prides itself on developing student-athletes who excel across sprinting, distance running, and field events, while also emphasizing leadership and academic success. Notably, Jaylen Arrington proudly represented Northwest Collegiate & Technical Academy by competing at the state level in discus, marking a major milestone for the program and highlighting the strength of its athletes’ hard work and dedication.
