My academic training is in agricultural and biological engineering (PhD 2007, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY) and ecology/biology (MSc 2003, SUNY ESF, Syracuse, NY). I am an honorary associate professor in the Department of Engineering at Aarhus University (Denmark), where I taught and led a research group until mid-2019.
