Monday 13th - Friday 17th July 2026
Work experience is an integral part of our work-related learning curriculum which many students find very rewarding.
The process is that parents/carers work alongside their children to find an interesting placement for them. Apart from the obvious travel arrangements please bear in mind the following:
● The employer must be based in the UK and have current Employers Liability Insurance (ELI)
We are aware that local businesses may find taking work experience placements prohibitively challenging. We would therefore encourage students to be flexible and imaginative about where to approach. Experiencing any place of work is worthwhile, even if not their first choice of industry.
Once a placement has been agreed with a business, the student should then register the details on the work placement tool on Unifrog. All students have a login for Unifrog that they use regularly and there is more information about it below. The deadline to complete this is by the end of February Half Term.
Unifrog generates an email to the employer for placement details, the parent/carer for permission, and finally the school, so that all details of the placement are readily available in one place.
