Post-16 and Careers
Students leave school on the last Friday in June if they are 16 by the end of the summer holidays.
They must then choose whether to:
stay in full-time education - for example at a school sixth form, sixth form college or further education college
start an apprenticeship or traineeship
spend 20 hours or more a week working or volunteering while also doing part-time education or training
WHAT ARE YOUR OPTIONS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL?
Students have access to support with our Careers Advisor, Mrs Wright. Support is offered before they select their options in Year 9, and meetings are scheduled for ecah student when considering their post-16 studies in Year 10 and Year 11. Students are also able to refer themselves for advice, taking ownership of their career paths. Meetings can be requested via their form tutor, by emailing careers@hadleighhigh.net, or visiting the Careers Office.
