Sight words
Bingo – Draw a six square board on plain paper, write the words to review randomly on the board, make sight word cards (attached), and use the deck of cards as calling cards.
*Go Fish or Memory – Follow the traditional rules for this game, but make and use two sets of sight word cards (attached).
*Board game – Use a board from a game you have at home, and, instead of rolling the dice, make/use a deck of sight word cards and move one space for each letter in the word.
*Tic-Tac-Toe – Instead of X's and O's, use sight words.
*Beat the Clock – Set a timer or watch the clock. See how many words your child can read in 2 minutes. Keep a log of how many words they read in that time, and set goals for the next time!

*Sensory Writing – Write the words in a tray/pan of whipped cream, shaving cream, or sand.
*“Rainbow” Write – Write a sight word in yellow, and then choose another color to trace over the word. Repeat with as many as 4 – 5 other colors.
*Making Words – Use the magnetic letters on your refrigerator or letter cards (attached) to recreate various sight words.
*Sight Word Hunts – Highlight sight words in magazines or newspapers.
*READ as often as possible!!!
