From the Desk of the President
Greetings, colleagues.
Many of us celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday by traveling to friends and family or preparing and enjoying traditional holiday foods. I hope you find time to reflect on the people and things you are most grateful for and let them know how much you appreciate them.
During this time of the year dedicated to gratitude, I hope you can acknowledge the special place we are as a teaching and learning community and give thanks for the opportunity we have, daily, to change lives, destinies and family trees. In fact, whenever I meet students, alumni, and friends of the College throughout our 11-county service region, I hear stories about how much their lives changed while at the College. We are 1,000+ colleagues strong, and your one-on-one encounters with them made the difference we are known for throughout our service regtion. Thank you for espousing our core values and being a gateway to their success by promoting respect, collegiality, diversity, and equity in all we do.
As we prepare to enter the final weeks of the semester and the additional responsibilities of this holiday season, I am incredibly thankful for your dedication to HACC. I encourage you to find time for yourself and the activities you enjoy.
I wish you all safe travels and a happy, healthy Thanksgiving holiday.
