Organizational Updates from the Office of College Advancement

We are pleased to share the following organizational enhancements from the Office of College Advancement (effective July 1, 2023):

The Community Engagement Department of the Office of College Advancement was abolished.
The executive director of community engagement position was abolished.
The community engagement coordinator position is now part of the then-Integrated Marketing Communications Department.
The new name of the Integrated Marketing Communications Department is Strategic Marketing and Community Engagement Department.

Meet Carmen: First-Generation College Graduate

Application Days for Organizations Now Available

Did you know that HACC offers application days to organizations in our 11-county region? Application days are in-person and virtual events where HACC admissions professionals focus on helping organizations’ employees complete HACC’s free admissions application on the spot.

Organizations include corporations, government agencies and nonprofit organizations.

‘Behind the Curtain’ of HACC’s Strategic Marketing and Community Engagement Department

During the collegewide Zoom session on June 1, 2023, colleagues from the Office of College Advancement went “behind the curtain” and highlighted some of the work that happens in the Strategic Marketing and Community Engagement (SMCE) Department (formerly the Integrated Marketing Communications Department).

One important aspect of our work involves interacting with the media and responding to media requests. Did you know that colleagues across the College - like you - can play a role in our media relations efforts? We invite subject matter experts to work with us on opinion editorials (op-eds) that can:

Raise the College’s profile in the community
Present individuals at HACC as thought leaders/experts
Publicly express our core values
Weigh in on relevant issues

You Can Positively Impact Lives by Serving on the HACC Foundation Board of Directors

The HACC Foundation, a nonprofit organization established in 1985 to raise funds in support of HACC, is seeking professional, ethical, knowledgeable and hard-working individuals to join its Board of Directors.

The Board raises funds for the College; directs the business and financial affairs; and serves as the policy-making body of the HACC Foundation. The Board is comprised of business and community leaders who are committed to raising funds for HACC students, programs and facilities.

Qualified individuals are encouraged to apply for membership on the HACC Foundation Board. Applications are accepted any time and should be submitted using an online application.
