Military & Veteran Affairs

HACC’s Military and Veteran Affairs team is here to support our military, veterans and eligible dependent students. Our goals are to help our students with their Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits and other military education benefits. We also have additional resources to help our students be successful. Our office hours vary and we recommend you connect with us via email or phone at 717-780-2331, to schedule an appointment.

Each semester, HACC’s MVA supports over 400 military, veteran and eligible dependent students with education benefits. We have a Veterans Benefits Request Form (also known as the Yellow Sheet). The Yellow Sheet allows our students to submit their benefits requests online for streamlined processing. We encourage our students to submit their Yellow Sheet each semester or when classes are added to make sure we can inform the VA in sufficient time.

HACC is also proud to have Pennsylvania’s only VetSuccess counselor on campus (VSOC). Our counselor serves as a liaison between the veteran/eligible dependent and departments in the VA. The VSOC is also here to help provide support and assistance in the pursuit of your educational and employment goals. Finally, the VSOC can help prepare you to enter the workforce in viable careers.
