Heart 2 Heart Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving animal welfare in Charlton County through community-driven programs. Founded in 2024, we are entirely volunteer-operated and rely on donations, grants, and in-kind support to fuel our mission.
We are not a shelter and can't intake any animals ourselves, but we are a lifeline, filling critical gaps with practical, grassroots solutions that make an immediate difference for animals and the people who care about them.
To reduce animal overpopulation and suffering in Charlton County through accessible, community-driven TNVR and low-cost spay/neuter services — meeting our community where it is, with the resources we have, and making meaningful, sustained progress together.
We envision a Charlton County where every resident, regardless of income or circumstance, has access to the resources they need to care for their animals — and where compassionate, community-driven animal welfare is something our neighbors can count on.
Community Cat TNVR – Humanely reducing overpopulation through spay/neuter, vaccination, and safe return.
Low Cost Spay/Neuter for Pets – Assisting residents in getting their pets spayed/neutered for less with our clinic partners.
Animal Food Bank – Providing cat and dog food to families in need, keeping pets and their people together.
Rescue Partnerships – Collaborating with sanctuaries and fosters to provide safe placement for animals without homes.
Community Outreach & Education – Hosting events, sharing resources, and helping residents find humane solutions.
Every $60 donation covers TNVR for one community cat. Every bag of food keeps a pet with their family. Every volunteer hour helps us build a kinder, stronger Charlton County.
Together, we can create a future where no animal is left behind!
