Hello everyone. I have been a teacher for Camden County Schools for 29 years! However, this is my first year at Woodbine Elementary, and I'm super excited to be here. In my time at CCS, I have taught elementary music, high school band, third, fourth, and fifth grade ELA and Writing. In the past, I also coordinated a writing lab for the entire school, K-5. This year, I will be teaching reading, writing, and language for 5th graders at WES.
I received a Bachelors of Education in Music from Valdosta State University and a Masters in Instructional Technology from Lesley University. I grew up in Waycross, Georgia, but I spent many years living on the North End at Burnt Fort. So, I consider myself local even though I currently live in Fernandina Beach.
I have one son, the love of my life, Cutler Davis who has just turned 17. I'm obviously a musician and lover of all types of music, but I am crazy about all sports too. I'm the biggest Dawgs fan you're likely to meet, a huge admirer of Simone Biles, and an unapologetic band wagon fan for Catilin Clark.
Enough about me! I'm looking forward to getting to know all of my 5th grade students as well as their families. Thanks in advance for sharing your student with me. If you have any questions please email me at mdavis@camden.k12.ga.us!
