About Me

My name is Melissa Mitchell.  I have completed my 11th year of teaching here at Northside Middle School. 

I am so excited to be teaching your child.

Educationally, I hold four degrees that span engineering, Business, a Master of Accounting, and a Master of Education. I chose these degrees to provide me with professional experiences and learning opportunities for every child I have the pleasure of teaching and working with.

Prior to teaching, I had the opportunity to participate in many industrialized jobs that began as a technician in my earlier college days to various managerial roles throughout my professional career. 

After many relocations and finally finding a community that my family loves, I decided to pursue a lifelong dream of teaching.

My goal is to share knowledge and experiences to motivate children and young adults to make positive decisions for their future.  The definition of this experience will be “I will give every child an experience to be more while learning from each child to promote more." 

I have a wonderful family.  I am a proud Mother of two beautiful daughters and 4 furbabies!
